How to Build a Laser Security System
http://www.howcast.com/videos/2947-How-To-Build-a-Laser-Security-System
The website has intructions and materials. It guides you throughout the project. It also provides you with the tools that will be needed to work on this particular project. It provides you with pictures and a video so that you can get a visual idea. This will become a benefit and an advantage when I try to build the actual item. The web site is well organized. It starts from the materials that will be needed and ends with testing out the item. This website allows users to post comments on it. Most users agree that this particular project was fun and interesting. In most cases, it was also a success.

GOOD v.s. EVIL
Thermal Technology Module
What is Applied Thermal Science?
- The combined study of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and combustion.
What I learned in LAP 1:
- Introduction to Thermal Science
- Temperature Measurement
- Thermal Expansion
- Thermal Energy
In this LAP, I learned about Thermal Science. I was shown how to measure temperature with Celsius and Fahrenheit. I also learned that those are the most common absolute temperature measurements. I was shown how elements like metal and steel expand and contract when heated and when cooled. Lastly, I learned about refrigeration science.
What I learned in LAP 2:
- Thermal System Power
- Ideal Gas Laws and Phase Changes
- Heat Transfer and Insulation
In this LAP, I learned about all of Isaac Newton's laws. I was also taught about gravity. This LAP showed the three phase changes, liquid, solid and gas. I also learned about radiation and how heat is transfered with conduction and convection.
What I learned in LAP 3:
- Laws of Thermodynamics
- Thermodynamic Cycles
- Refrigeration Science
- Pychometrics
In this LAP, I learned about relative humidity and heat. I also learned about module safety. I had to wear safety gloves a lot.
How can I use Applied Thermal Science in Real World Applications:
You can become an HVAC Tech. These technicians install, maintain, and repair heating, venilation, and air conditioning systems.

All About Blogging (Post # 1)
What is a "Blog"?
A blog is an array of things. It can be classified as a diary, a place to post breaking news, and even private thoughts. A blog is a web site where you post information on an ongoing basis.
History of Blogging:
The term "weblog" was created by Jorn Barger on December 17, 1997. The short form, "blog," was created by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in 1999. Shortly after, Evan Williams used "blog" as both a noun and verb ("to blog," meaning "to edit one's weblog or to post to one's weblog") and devised the term "blogger" which made the terms popular.
Types of Blogs:
- Personal Blog
- Corporate and Organizational Blog
- Genre Blogs
Conclusion:
Blogging is something that I am very interested in. I think that it is a phenomenal way to communicate with my teacher, as well as my peers.
